Domain Name Agreement
Pre-requisite
CDJ Hosting do not operate or alter any domain name registry on the CDJ Hosting Server network. All Domain name registrations are submitted to a relevant Domain name Registrar as decided by CDJ Hosting at the time of submission. By submitting a domain name registration you agree to abide by the terms and conditions of the Registry operator.

Domain Name Registration
Domain name registration is independent of website hosting and website hosting shall not be required to provide domain name registration, however a domain name registration shall be combined with a website hosting package where applicable.
Where a website hosting package is terminated any domain name associated with the account may continue to be active and billable without an active Website hosting package from CDJ Hosting and client must renew or cancel the domain name explicitly.
CDJ Hosting Offer domain registrations as an intermidiary between Client and Registrar.
Client accepts that CDJ Hosting will register the ordered domain name with the most cost effective registrar and that Client ordering a domain name having ordered a domain name before or not will have no bearing on the domain registrar that is used for any domain name registration.
Client agrees to pay the applicable fee of the domain name registration at the time of order as advertised on CDJ Hosting web site.
Client is aware that a domain name shall take upto 72 hours to become live across the internet after the registration has succeeded, and that this is due to a process that is widely referred to as "Domain Name Server propagation" or "DNS propagation".
DNS propagation Explained: A domain name registry entry is transmitted around the world from Domain name server to Domain name server informing each server of the IP Address that the domain name is currently using so that internet users may find any given domain name using the fastest available route across the internet.
Client will be billed for each renewal of the domain name by CDJ Hosting and agrees to make payment for renewals before the renewal date. Usually 1 to 2 years after the date of order depending on the TLD of the domain name.
Client may register a UK domain name for TWO years at any 1 time as this is both the minimum AND maximum registration period for UK Domain names.
Client may register other TLD at varying lengths of time in increments of 1 year upto and including 10 years at a time where the TLD permits this.
Domain Name Renewal
As a courtesy, CDJ Hosting shall maintain the renewal of UK domain names indefinitely where Client account has sufficient account credit or an available payment source at the time of any invoice for the domain name being due for payment.
Client agrees that the renewal date for any domain name will have a CDJ Hosting renewal date of 1 week prior to the whois registry states the domain will expire. This prior expiration shall permit the cancellation of the Domain name by CDJ hosting should the renewal fee not be paid by Client.
client understands that CDJ Hosting provide a UK Domain renewal service outside of Nominet the UK registry governing body.
Client agrees that the Domain name renewal date in Client account is the only renewal date taken into consideration when fees and/or admin charges are applied, and that the difference between expiration dates shall have no bearing on late fees that may be applied to over due invoices for Domain names.
Domain Name Transfer
Client may transfer a domain name to CDJ Hosting
client agrees to pay any such applicable transfer costs to CDJ Hosting as displayed at the time of transfer request being placed, and shall be billed accordingly by invoice to be paid in full prior to any transfer being submitted to the domain name registry.
Client agrees that any UK domain name transfer within 4 weeks before renewal date shall be charged according to CDJ Hosting Domain name renewal fees and that CDJ Hosting will renew the domain name at time of renewal according to regular renewal conditions. All UK Domain names transfered prior to this period shall be transferable free of charge to Client.
All None UK Domain names may be transfered to CDJ Hosting upon payment of the applicable domain name transfer charge for the TLD that is to be transfered. The domain name shall be treated as a domain name renewal at the time of transfer to CDJ Hosting and will be transfered followed by an extension of one year to the domain name registry renewal date for the applicable domain name.
Domain Name Client To Client Transfer
CDJ Hosting do not permit Client To Client Transfer of domain names.
Free Domain Name Terms
CDJ Hosting offer "free" Domain name registration on selected TLD and package/terms.
Domain name services are explicitly excluded from the CDJ Hosting money back guarantee.
Fees for any "Free" Domain name shall be deducted from any due refund at the price advertised on CDJ Hosting website at the time of Client registering the domain name when client cancels an applicable web hosting package.
Client shall retain ownership of the registered domain name and the domain name shall be maintained as service provided by CDJ Hosting to Client chargable under the regular billing of domain names for the applicable TLD.
Where client signals a request to terminate a domain name CDJ Hosting may use its discretion to make an offer to the client to transfer ownership of the domain name to CDJ Hosting without deduction of applicable fees from any due refund. This shall be entirely at the discretion of CDJ Hosting.
Client agrees to make payment for renewal of Domain name to CDJ Hosting at the cost as advertised on CDJ Hosting web site at time of renewal, with the exeption where, Client has transfered the domain away from CDJ Hosting control/Client has requested cancellation of Domain name, before the CDJ Hosting Domain expiration date for the applicable domain name.
Client may request a tranfer of the applicable domain name way from CDJ Hosting at anytime after any qualifying free domain condition has been met but no less than eight days prior to the CDJ Hosting domain name expiration date for the applicable domain name.
Domain Name Ownership
Client shall retain the rights of ownership and use of Client domain name where applicable, with the following exception, CDJ Hosting maintain and shall excecute a possessory lien on Client domain name from the date that associated fees, including late fees or other expenses reasonably incurred in collection of those fees, become due and remain unpaid until such time as Client makes payment in full.
During the execution of a possessory lien, release of Client domain name to Client shall be at the sole discretion of CDJ Hosting. If at any time during execution of a possessory lien Client Domain name become due for expiration CDJ Hosting may elect to renew the applicable domain name. At which time CDJ Hosting shall become the legal owner of the domain name. Equally CDJ Hosting may elect to allow domain expiration of the domain name. Client may then register the domain name after the domain name becomes registerable, all be it with another service provider and not as a CDJ Hosting service.
In case of disputes regarding authority over domain names, Host will follow industry standard practice of giving ultimate authority to the domain name registrant.
Host maintains control and ownership of any copyright, proprietary and/or licensed software, scripts, programs, images, or other electronic data or media installed and/or provided by Host.
Host does not monitor account usage or the status of domain name records on Host's servers. If Client transfers Client domain without notifying Host of a desire to cancel the account, or if Client allows domain registration to expire without renewal, Client will continue to be charged/billed, even if Host learns that Client domain has been transferred or expired. Host's services are independent of account usage and domain name records, and remain in effect regardless of the status of Client's domain name record. Domain names that have been suspended will be charged an administration fee of £25.00 in addition to the renewal fee for that domain. Client accepts that domain names that have expired the suspension period will be removed from client account and become available to register to anybody.
